Christians should have no fear of what is coming or happening around us, for Scripture assures us that the chaos and darkness of this age are not the final word. There is coming a day when it will be all over, when the night that seems so long will give way to unending dawn. As Paul wrote, “The night is nearly over. The day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:12). The Day of the Lord is not a rumor or a story we tell children; it is the certain moment when everything false collapses under the weight of truth, every shadow flees before the light, and every tear is wiped away by the hand of the One who has already overcome the world.
