Church, there are some prisons built with iron bars…
and there are some prisons built inside the human heart. Jesus speaks in this passage about conflict, forgiveness, correction, repentance, mercy, and judgment. And if we are honest, every one of us has walked into this room carrying scars from people who wounded us.
Some wounds are small. Some wounds changed the direction of our lives.
And yet Jesus gives His disciples a challenge: not merely to receive forgiveness from God… but to become people who forgive others.
Because forgiven people are supposed to become forgiving people.
